Real Number
A real number is any value that can represent a distance along a continuous infinite line, known as the number line. Real numbers include all rational numbers (such as fractions and integers) and irrational numbers (such as $\pi$ or $\sqrt{2}$).
Example
The numbers $-5$, $0$, $4.75$, $\frac{2}{3}$, and $\sqrt{7}$ are all examples of real numbers.
