Reflection
A reflection is a geometric transformation that flips a figure across a line, creating a mirror image. This line is called the line of reflection, and every point on the original figure is the same distance from the line as its corresponding point on the mirrored image.
Example
Reflecting a point $A(3, 4)$ across the $x$-axis changes the sign of the $y$-coordinate. The reflected point becomes $A'(3, -4)$.
