Plan

In geometry and technical drawing, a plan is a two-dimensional diagram or projection of a three-dimensional object as seen from directly above. It is often used to show the floor layout of a building or the top view of a solid figure.

Example

If a square-based pyramid is viewed directly from above, its plan will be drawn as a square with two diagonal lines connecting the corners to the center, representing the sloping edges meeting at the apex.
