Velocity
Velocity is a vector quantity that describes the rate at which an object changes its position. It includes both the speed of the object and the direction of its motion.
Example
If a car travels $100$ meters to the East in $5$ seconds, its average velocity is $v = \frac{\Delta x}{\Delta t} = \frac{100 \text{ m}}{5 \text{ s}} = 20 \text{ m/s}$ East.
