Force
A push or pull upon an object resulting from its interaction with another object. In mathematics, specifically in mechanics, it is a vector quantity with both magnitude and direction that can cause an object with mass to accelerate.
Example
A force of $5 \text{ N}$ acting on a $2 \text{ kg}$ mass produces an acceleration of $2.5 \text{ m/s}^2$ according to Newton's Second Law, $F = ma$.
