Event
In probability, an event is a collection of one or more outcomes of a random experiment. It represents a specific subset of the overall sample space to which a probability can be assigned.
Example
When rolling a standard six-sided die, rolling an even number is an event represented by the set $E = \{2, 4, 6\}$. The probability of this event occurring is $P(E) = \frac{3}{6} = \frac{1}{2}$.
