Angle of Depression
The angle of depression is the angle formed between a horizontal line of sight and the downward line of sight to an object that is below the observer.
Example
A person standing on a $20$-meter tall cliff looks down at a boat on the water. The angle between their straight horizontal gaze and their downward view to the boat is the angle of depression.
