Amount
In commercial arithmetic, the amount is the total accumulated value of a principal sum after interest has been added over a specific period of time. It represents the final total sum of money, combining both the initial investment or loan and the interest earned or charged.
Example
If a principal of $P = 10,000 \text{ TZS}$ is invested at simple interest and earns an interest of $I = 1,500 \text{ TZS}$, the total amount $A$ is calculated as: $$A = P + I = 10,000 + 1,500 = 11,500 \text{ TZS}$$
